Hello everyone I am a senior this year and have to decide between Cal Poly Pomona and UCI for Aerospace Engineering, by May 1st. I am leaning towards UCI at the moment and there is not so many moments left. I like UCI’s campus more than Pomona, but then im stuck between a slightly more theory based study, where I have a chance to do research, or Cal Poly’s very hands on approach, which could be better for learning. I think i’ve almost answered my own question, but please, let me know what you think.

It depends on your plans for future.
If you want to go for higher studies or you want to start a job. If you are going to start working for a company then go where the courses are more hands on.

I have a friend who did aerospace engr from cal poly pomona and now makes 75K working in colorado. Aerospace @ cal poly > aerospace @ UCI. Ive been to both campuses and have seen their engr dept in depth.

uci is like the davis of so cal... its filled w. desis n i think they have more too.

I dont understand. It shouldnt matter how many desis are in a particular university. Choose your school based on reputation, curricula and what your are interested in doing :P

never mind what that means - although if you don't know the term, then I think you might be on the wrong site :)
Like 5Abi said, indeed the desi populace is an irrelevant (or at best the weakest) criterion in selection of a University.
