CAIR vs. Daniel Pipes

I don’t know how many of you follow the verbal battles in the newspapers, TV talk shows etc. between organizations/activists with agendas. The most interesting ones are the focus groups on Israel/Palestinian ones because there are too many & with varying stands.

Another particularly interesting one is between CAIR & Daniel Pipes. Its interesting because its an old rivalry & since September 11th it has gone a little too far.

Too generous of CAIR to provide Mr Pipes with all that free publicity and more. They needn't have bothered.

I am not a member of CAIR and so I don't know the inside. What’s missing from the CAIR website is answers to the allegations made against them by Pipes. Instead they went on a personal level to show him the bigot.

Does anyone know how CAIR are related to ISNA, if at all?

There is no need to misquote Daniel Pipes, he will go overboard on his own and that is when CAIR must catch him. To misquote gives ample opportunity for detractors to discredit CAIR. On the other, Mr. Pipes has the right to point out areas of concern. His loyalty is known. There seem to be voices more belligerent than his, though.
