A few senior members have approached me in the past few days and shown me their concerns about the quality of cafe thread that has been going down for the past few months. Other moderators and I agree with them.
Yes cafe is a place to have light chit chat and have some fun, but sometimes this so called fun really annoys other people. I don’t want to name anyone nor point any fingers, but I am sure everyone knows what kind of threads I am talking about.
I agree that sometimes we do not have anything in particular to talk about and that is okay, it happens. Rather than opening 7 different threads saying “Cafe is so dead” or “I am bored” etc., it’s better that either something is done about this (by opening a good thread that others can join and have fun) or no thread is opened (to say it’s boring and I have nothing to talk about).
We, the cafe moderators, will be following the policies a little strictly now so I would suggest that you read the rules and make sure you follow them.
The point is not to discourage you from posting, but rather let you have fun with some limits in mind. We just want to make sure that what is fun for us does not become annoying to our friends and everyone is happy.
