What exactly is cable tv and how does it work?
I hear there are thousands of cable operators in Pakistan? So I’m just wondering what exactly do they do and why isn’t there like one standard TV provider?

You can apply for cable tv network license with PAMRA.
After the rishwat and fees you will get your license. Once the setup is complete you can start your cable service. If you are good at badmashi your cable service will do din dugni raat chogni taraqi.
According to cable operator i was using in lahore they have to pay/ pole to PTCL as they use their existing poles to run tv cable. Also heard some tv channels pay to operators for their channels.
