I dont think you can blame it all on Moin. Our batting against SL, then the point to India for losing by 60 runs and if we talk about the last over the 4 conceeded to Kumble, everything combined together including Moin's mistake. I said at the start of the tournament Moin and Younis Khan should not have been in the squad.
Anyway, dont be downhearted, we won the match which mattered. :)

I think More than Moin's mistakes, it was Sri Lankan game where Pak couldnot get the consolation point. If the lost it with dignity it could have been better.

As I said the mithaas of the grapes is still there. :)
well, moin khan has never been the best fielding wicket keeper in pakistan.. he has dropped catches and missed stumping chances in past at crucial stages but he would make those up with his batting at the crucial points.. so what moin did against india was nothing new or out of ordinary.. but i think his batting has gone down and he has yet to play one good inning in a while.. plus, i dont think pakistan missed the final just cuz of him.. they missed it cuz they lost to srilanka so badly and gave up too many extras against india.. moin was only part of the problem, and not the major problem.. overall i think pakistan played well in this tournament except for 1 game vs srilanka and that kicked them out of the tournament..

Well said. I agree with you and Ehsan bhai. Regarding that last over, I think Sami bowled a great over and it took a great shot by Kumble to get a boundary, he couldnt get touch rest of the deliveries.

moin is a great keeper and i would say far better than LATIF who does not get time of from his 24/7 job of accusing ppl of match fixing. Moin has always done well in the team and that is one reason he still remains .. regarding the last ball its just bad luck and wat about those extra runs we gave up dont that have anything to do.
well we won its ok we did not go ot the finals cause of a flawd system.

Moin is a great keeper?? you gotta be kidding me! He never was a great keeper and these days he is as horrible as it gets. I must admit I opened this thread as part of venting out and a bit of fun (as most ppl know on this board) but I also had this point in mind that Moin has lost his touch in batting since a (the reason he was in the team)since a while. He is still in the team because a) we are too scared of relying on youngsters and b) we tend to rely on past laurels rather than current situation.
I will be more than happy if Moin proves me wrong but to me we need to call youngsters for this position because Moin is past his best.
