It is OXFAM report, but the timing is perfect for Mr. Obama’s State of the Union address.

Heard yesterday that 40% of the world's wealth is owned by 1200 people. Yup, 1.7E-7% owns what 2800000000 people should.

Obama hired Geithner and Summers. Not sure if he really cares for the poor. Classic good cop bad cop routine.
He will use "millionaires and billionaires" as if the 3 orders of magnitude difference ain't worth notn.

You realise that most people living in countries like the US, UK, Germany are in that 1% right? The 1% is millions of people.

Most of them live in those countries, but most living in those countries are not in the 1%. Check out this map from BBC News - Where do the wealthiest 1% live?

^ @Southie So I found the episode of Matlock, where his daughter plays a muder suspect, that you told me about a few months ago.
It is called 'The Suspect' and is in the 6th season. :D
Haven't finished the episode so I don't know if she is actually her rich husband's murderer. My hunch is that she is.
Matlock is going to be mighty disappointed because he is so taken by her charm. :)

Also, US population is 316M, if 18M of those are in 1%, we are still talking about only 5% of the population. Which is far from 'most'.
