I just dont have time for the gym anymore. Besides, I like working out either early morning or late night. Early morning I cant be bothered showering twice and making myself presentable and lugging my ass to gym and late night the gym is closed. So I’ve decided its time to invest in a treadmill.
Any recommendations people? I’ve searched around (mostly online) and the price range goes anywhere from $200 (walmart) to $1000+. I’m no rich girl, and not some competitive athlete, I just want one that’s got the basics and is gonna do the trick in giving me that nice workout. So something in the middle of $200-$1000 is what my budget is. Havent found anything im quite looking for yet, i’d appreciate some help
When it comes to treadmills, with regards to price they can be broken down into 3 catagories:
budget ($500 to $1,500),
mid-range ($1,500 to $3,000)
quality ($3,000 and up)
If you can (pool your money together with a family member??) try to get at least a mid range... the ones at the lower end of the market will just conk out on you after some use.... it's better to invest in something that will have longevity and cater to you as your fitness levels grow...
The 2 treadmills in our home are the:
Vision Fitness T9450 Premier console
Nordic Track E3200 Treadmill
They're on the pricey side, but definitely worth the investment. We've had a couple before that have just stopped working after some time, and we kept on buying new ones...but these have lasted us for some time....
Anyway, staying within your stated budget, i think the best one to go for will be the NordicTrack C2500 which is around £800 and the C2000 which is around £650....
Take a look at them and let me know what you think... i'll keep my eye out if i see anything else for you ;)
Make sure it has an 'impact absorption/reduction system', if not you should invest in the new nike air max+ 2009 running shoes (they're kinda pricy but amazing and have flywire), and nike makes 'em for women too...
^ Go for it. Even though this is one of the 'budget' treadmills as maroush stated, it will give you a good start on treadmills without denting your pocket too much. With continuous use, this will last you anything from a year to two years. Also assuming that since you have a lighter frame than many people you should be alright with it.
Waisay it seems like youre going to the gym to make sure you look good and not to work out. Summer is here, go for a run around the block! Or find a park nearby.
