Buying a car in Pakistan

I am looking for a decent car to buy in Pakistan when I am there sometime next year. How much money shall I bring to spent on a decent car in Pakistan. Its only going to be really for me and wife, well do take her in rides in when I get married.

So what price ranges am I looking at? on and is has to be something definitely with air conditioning. And something which will not attract too much attention from potential robbers.

Re: Buying a car in Pakistan

Well, my fiance said, she wants me to buy a Honda accord and she said it costs around about that much. Before she wanted me to buy a 4 wheel drive (panjaro) but thats waaaayyyyyy to expansive I mean its stupid money to spend on a car. She was upset about it, sometimes the girls in Pakistan assume money grows on trees for us British boys.

Re: Buying a car in Pakistan

accord 2003 is the sexiest car alive (i don’t like the new ones design). And if you’re lookin for an SUV, don’t by a pajero, blakh…go for a prado. I’d recommend a used car, cuz you just want it for going around, and you probably won’t need it on a permanent basis. Also, used car market is veryyy down right now :smokin:

btw how much is 15,000 pounds in rupees, cuz you’ll get a decent used accord 03 for around 17-18-19 lakh.

Re: Buying a car in Pakistan

15 grand why don't u get a nice Beamer for abt 10 k here n cargo it to pakistan n sell it thr for 25 K..................
that way your wife will enjoy the drive n u wont be out of pocket either!!!!
actually i dont know how much it'll cost but i've heard it is still profitable to atke a used car from Uk n sell it thr for twice/thrice as much

Stomp,

A cat can hide under the table but it remains the cat, doesn't become rabit. If you are wise enough u will know what I mean.

Honda accord is considered as an executive car in Pakistan & costs around 23 to 28 Lakh (25 to 28 thousand quid), I'd suggest Honda Civic costs 12 to 15 K GBP and gives decent ride (or Toyota Corolla), if u want a part time basis car then you can even consider Honda City, or Handi (Hyundai) Santro.

Keep in mind that their is a queue & wait for new cars (around four to six months for Hondas & three to eight months on Corollas).

If you really want to buy Accord (a new one) buy a BMW 3 series costs the same price in PK.
