buying a CAr alarm with remote starter

I have 3 options.

Local - (400+$ canadian including installation)
Online - (150$ canadian without installation)
Pakistan - (4000 rupees (with LCD screen) + installation charges in canada)

Anyone have knowledge about car alarms, and if BRAND NAME means anything? How much does the quality of alarms matter?

any general advice on car alarms. for a civic 2003 2 door?

I got the top-of-the line Honda remote alarm system fitted on my 2001 model Honda Civic 5 door by a Honda dealership, set me back £500 … about US $800 .

But then again, almost everything in the UK costs over 50% more than it does in the US :bummer:
