Buying a Camcorder

Re: Buying a Camcorder

u can also get an external DVD, that uses USB to hook-up, and then u dnt have to install it (EXternal means OUTside) loool…just playin but yea.
SD/HDD is good too but i dono how long u can record on it though.. :bummer: depending on the HDD size (8GB-30GB) can record upto 3hrs-37hrs…

Re: Buying a Camcorder

oo that looks nice.
So how much are the SD cards that can hold like 30 hrs?
I have a 2GB SD card for my camera and it was like $20, so I’m assuming the SD card for the camcorder will be wayyy expensive.

And so HDD and SD card camcorders are two diff. things, right? It’s either one or the other?

Re: Buying a Camcorder

yea HDD is a fixed drive in ur Cam basically...like the HDD in ur pc. SD is portable...like memory stick.

Re: Buying a Camcorder

8GB SD can run from $70-$150, with speed variations, manufacturer, etc...
You could check out tigerdirect.com, it has some pretty cool stuff.

Re: Buying a Camcorder

yeaaaa I think I'll just get a HDD instead. Are those really expensive?

Re: Buying a Camcorder

60GB for $1300, 40GB around $600, 30GB ~$400, 8GB around 300

Again, all this depends on your choice of Manufacturer. u know how sony's more expensive and JVC's not but they're both good products...kinda like that....

Re: Buying a Camcorder

okay
so how many hours is a 40 GB?

Re: Buying a Camcorder

about 28hrs

This is a Sony DCR-SR200 goes for about $580.

Re: Buying a Camcorder
