Re: Buying a Camcorder
Well, the thing with DVD camcorders is that it's burning the DVD while it's recording, and I heard that this has been a problem because it takes up a lot of memory or whatever...
If I get a HDD or SD card camcorder but I don't have a DVD burner on my computer can I still somehow burn the video to a DVD?
Definite DOHHHH!
If you get one with DVD the only way you can take out the DVD and watch videos on a regular DVD player is only after you "finalize" the DVD. Once you finalize the DVD you can't put any more recording on it.
Unlike HD based camcorders you are not restricted to the HD size, you can keep getting more blank DVD's. Ofcourse you can move video from the HD if you have a computer.
Personally, I own an SD card based one (Samsung SC-X210L). Its very compact and does very nice videos. But again you need a DVD burner to put the videos on a DVD. :)
