Buyers remorse

Have you ever bought something that you thought was totally a sane and fashionable choice in the store or in a catalogue… but when you got home, you were like what in the world was I thinking… its so ugly… or maybe the price just seemed too much when you were back to normal and not shopcrazy anymore… or it just didnt give the effect that you were hoping for?:frusty:

I’ve had three horrible purchases all in the past month. False eyelashes… I thought they looked really cool until I was very quickly told by my friends to take those things off cuz I looked like I was a draq queen :bummer: Um… skinny white pants… THE most unflattering piece of legwear in the world… white and skinny= big no-no unless you’re like a size 0. Oh and and an empire waist maxi dress… someone actually asked if I was expecting… that could be cuz I was crampy and stuff and I was holding my tummy… but I think it was more the fit and style of the dress that led her to believe that…

Re: Buyers remorse

Don't worry it happens to the best of us.

Re: Buyers remorse

I dont think you understood the point of the thread. I'm not "worried". I'm sharing my experience and curious to hear about others.

Re: Buyers remorse

yeah this shirt. i was pretty much forced to buy it, and i still haven’t worn it  oh and this t-shirt that i waited to buy, i saw it today on this middle aged asian lady and i was all like :smack: :frowning:

and like you said, this empire-waist top. makes me look preggers. but it’s so cute :frowning:

happened to me quiet a few times, and made me lost my interest in that particular thing , than what i did is if that's feasible (stuff not worn + all tags on) i take it back to store for exchange/ return to get the store credit

Re: Buyers remorse

ufff million times :bummer:

my closet if full of crappy clothes that i never wore :vivo: or i never dared to wear stupid choices just stupid

and i recently bouhgt one mousse foundation it seemd just perfect but when i used it all over my face it got dried while i was putting it on and it looked like patches of mud all over my face :bummer:

i dont know wats wrong may be i dont know how to put it on or ts just crappy who knows but i wasted my money for sure :bummer:

Re: Buyers remorse

This is why you bring a friend when shopping, and try everything on :P

Re: Buyers remorse

LOL ^ I totally agree with it..always take atleast two friends with u for shopping for a better idea..

It always used to happen with me so now what I do, i just check all the shops whats available n wats not..make the selections of things i really likes…spend few days thinking about them( gaur o’ fikar) "should Buy.. or not to Buy :bummer:
& after making a final choice rush to the stores…but many a times… until I takeout time to go back to the shop either the piece or the color of my choice has sold out :frowning: :vivo:

Re: Buyers remorse

hahah, yes, its so familiar, riya! i used to do that alllll the time.
fortunately, i've been feeling more "grown up" lately and now i've started to "invest in pieces" that might cost more but that i love and will wear for a long time, rather than super trendy things. but man, i used to do that so much and honestly, i think my local goodwill must love me! i've given away bags of unworn clothing- such a waste of money. youth really is wasted on the young :p

Re: Buyers remorse

^^ Same here. Weird stuff and clothing which you cant even give to poor or other people. While shifting houses, I had to request the pickup driver and helpers to take away my bags cz I had no idea what to do with them. So much waste of money which could mean alot to a poor household back home. But every one learns their lesson. Now several hours or a complete day just to buy 3/4 items after careful thinking.

Re: Buyers remorse

lol it happens with everything i buy whether its £30 or £300
