Butterflies

Is there an age after which you stop feeling butterflies for someone of the opposite sex when you simply just SEE them? (like school age crushes, etc).

Re: Butterflies

I still get butterflies when hubby does something nice for me or dresses up.

Re: Butterflies

I think reality begins to set in and your barin starts avoiding these "crushes" to prevent disappointment.

Re: Butterflies

Maybe at this point of life, don't expect "butterflies" as such...but eventually when you find the right person, those lovey dovey feelings will come

Re: Butterflies

No, no butterflies just bad gas...

Re: Butterflies

i know someone who is a 63 yr old widow and she found someone she likes, if she can grt butterflies so can anyone at any age. Its a feeling & those dont die with age!

Re: Butterflies

I used to sell in a seniors complex and there was a lot of action going on. Look at all the old Saudi pervs lined outside Syrian refugee camps trying to buy lil girls.

Re: Butterflies

You will feel the butterflies again when you have found someone that you trust and find to be attractive and compatible. I don't believe that the butterflies have come to a complete end. It's just that you feel disillusioned and that has made you more wary and cautious...and I think that can be a good thing. Looking back at all the times when I had butterflies....it turned out that those heady, nasha-like feelings...as fun as they were....caused me to either be blind to red flags in the guy or to be overlook them and make excuses for them. So it's good that you're not letting that headiness impair your judgment....but at the same time you have to watch out for the potential of judging too harshly because nobody is perfect.

Re: Butterflies

Nope.
Butterflies don't go away.

Re: Butterflies

I never had butterflies when I met my husband, but I was also very cautious. It developed over time and I still get them when he randomly says "I love you".
