Please don’t stop the music: DJ Butt arrested – The Express Tribune

DJ Butt, the person who gained fame by playing music at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) sit-ins, has been arrested, according to a tweet by PTI.

Sources have told The Express Tribune that Butt was arrested on the charge of “inciting violence in the city of Islamabad” after midnight on Thursday.
Butt first met PTI chief Imran Khan in 2011. Since then, he has been with the party and plays music at many of their sit-ins.
The tweet claimed that the Sharif brothers unnecessarily had him arrested for doing his job.

Since the start of the Islamabad sit-ins, PTI leaders have accused Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz government of arresting PTI supporters to prevent them from attending the protest in the federal capital.

Re: Butt Has been Arrested :)

These Sharif brothers are nothing less than sadistic and power hungry dictators, and this is their democracy.

DJ Butt is not even a member of PTI. He's a free citizen who was making a living by playing music at the protests. On what basis have they arrested him?

Nawaz Sharif fanboys (especially the cult followers of Shahbaz Sharif) please find me a clause from Pakistani constitution that allows extrajudicial detention of citizens on the basis of their political affiliation? Try not quote Nawaz Sharif's Godfather Zia ul Haq.

Shame on them for passing this charade and gross violation of Human Rights as 'democracy'. How far will you go to paint this Sharif Enterprise as shining example of successful democracy?

Re: Butt Has been Arrested :)

What I can see clearly is that, government using police and judiciary to not only for unjustified arrest, persecution and atrocities on people, but also hope that facing such wrongs, people would get scared and would keep quite.

But it seems thugs in government, judiciary, police, bureaucracies, and politicians in ruling parties do not realise that, it is these type of behaviour … unjustified arrest, persecution and atrocities that would make people stop respecting or fearing judiciary and police (or anyone from authority), and when that would happen than mob justice would start against those in authorities. And if that would happen, then civil war could start, and then police, judges, bureaucracies siding with government and politicians in power, all could get killed brutally wherever they would be found … because none could be most stronger and more brutal than people when they pick up arms.

As for panel code 144 … we should know that this panel code 144 is one of the legislative codes that Kings, Occupiers and Colonial powers uses to supress and rule people they colonised, but in an independent democratic countries, panel code 144 is not used on people gathering, as it is people themselves who when join together in masses, form government, so people’s gathering together itself is voice of people and have right to determine laws and rule the country.

But in Pakistan (as in some other third world banana countries) where government thinks they are Kings and people are colonised slaves, they use this clause extensively to supress people. But, when they are out of government and even when protesting against military rule, they themselves break this panel code and consider that as their right. Anyhow, when such law is used against organised party with strength, it always create unrest that could lead to massive revolt against the government, and eventually could bring armed struggle against government leading to mob justice of killing those in authorities.
