And the fact that its the Paks......... makes me laugh man! It is such sweet justice - now the world can see what criminals Pakistan can breed!!! The whole wide world !!!!!!!!! Finally we are getting somewhere...

The most interesting scenario in case of Pakistan players after Spot Fixing will be:

Asif and Butt are sent to jail and, meanwhile, Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ask ICC to remove their bans as both the players have appealed to CAS. They will be able to play Cricket but they will be in jail.

The verdict, after a month-long trial and 17 hours of deliberations, underscored the power of betting syndicates in the Indian subcontinent that have flourished as cricket itself has raced to a new era of wealth and popularity around the world. Many in the cricket world have warned that the syndicates and their grip on key players could destroy a game that has grown in recent decades from a gentlemanly, tradition-bound game played in impeccable white uniforms to a bare-knuckle, big-money sport centered in India and Pakistan, where matches are played in front of crowds exceeding 100,000 and tens of millions on television.
The two men convicted were Salman Butt, 27, who lost his captaincy of the Pakistan team as a result of the scandal, and Mohammed Asif, 28, one of the world’s great bowlers. By a majority verdict of 10-to-2, the jurors also convicted Butt of a second charge, conspiracy to accept corrupt payments. The jurors told the court that they had not reached a verdict on the second charge against Asif, and were instructed by the judge to continue their deliberations. While justice had to be done this is still a sad day for Pakistan, shamed for being the first nation having its cricketers facing jail.

I take no pleasure seeing them go to jail. I pity those 3 and really hope Amir can get away with a suspended sentence. I hope they learn their lesson which will be a far cry from the lavish luxuries they have been enjoying but I suspect theres still a fair few players out there breathing a sigh of relief they've gotten away with this.

Very Sad day for Pakistani cricket :( . What was Butt thinking of when having another child, like seriously you might be going to jail!!??!! :S
