Business Trips

How long did it take for the novelty of business trips to wear off for you?

I’m sitting around in a hotel room in Ohio counting the hours until I return to Canada (43 hours to go! ) and get my posterior out of the USA

My first role used to need me to travel once ever couple of months to some place in Europe or to the US… ever since I came to Canada that’s pretty much cut down to one or two per year and I’ve concluded that I like it this way.

Re: Business Trips

i hate the idea of travelling.. packing, going to airports, getting there unpacking, plane ride etc.. i’m done with travelling, to Pak to florida etc etc.. im just staying in NYC for the next 2 years :snooty:

Re: Business Trips

I would not mind travelling twice a month...:p

I love traveling packing things and going to different places :p

i was purposely looking for a job like that but instead got stuck begging money position - but its all good i like what i do :~)

Re: Business Trips

After the very first trip that required me to visit 13 countries in 10 days for demos and meetings.

I had travelled extensively in the past for trade shows and visits with specific clients, but that one trip did me in for the rest of my life.

I absolutely love my "desk-job" now.

Re: Business Trips

hate trade shows, between waiting for the shipments to setting up to hiring local help at freakin top dollar, this year i m gonna go to india and china, woohooo, i cant wait to go to india (never been there)

Re: Business Trips

I have had my fair share for travel. I traveled every week monday thru friday for 4 years. I had half a million frequent flyer miles and visited Pakistan 3 times for free using those miles.

I cannot stand traveling any more.

Re: Business Trips

I enjoy it every now and then. I usually go once or twice a year. It also helps if one is travelling to a fun city.
