Business Casual

I need to buy some nice spring/summer clothes appropriate for work… dress code is business casual.

Would anyone care to share some nice examples of outfits? Specifically dresses and skirt/blouse combos. I don’t do pants in the heat

Re: Business Casual

How high can the skirts go? :hmmm:

Re: Business Casual

Not very high at all. Knee length or longer.

Re: Business Casual

Ok… question… is this skirt ok for business casual? ASOS | ASOS Pencil Skirt in Jersey at ASOS

Re: Business Casual

I think it looks fine.

Re: Business Casual

It depends on how it’s worn (what will you wear it with). If you wear it with a tight top, then it’ll look a bit skanky. If it’s paired with a blouse or a sweater and you wear a belt with it - then yes, it can be worn as business casual.

Re: Business Casual

Who wears a sweater in summer? Ok, some skeletons do but then I wonder how these girls survive the winter.

Re: Business Casual

^ One can wear short sleeved or summer weight sweaters in the summer. I wear them all the time. Most offices with A/C are cranked so low (to accomodate men wearing business suits), that a lot of women wear sweaters indoors when they're wearing light summer weight fabrics, to compensate.

I do, and when I'm outside I'll remove the layers.

Re: Business Casual

Yeah I plan on pairing this skirt with a basic tee and a pretty colored blazer, maybe a soft peach/light pink or then traditional black/navy. My only concern is the tightness of the skirt with my big booty... but i've gotten away with wearing similar fabrics and cuts with a longer jacket on top. Not as easy in the hotter temps. Will def look into finding some lighter cardigans... thanks for the suggestion!
