Bush's ratings slipping - and slipping where it hurts

New CNN and Time Magazine Poll](CNN.com - Poll: Support for Bush, Iraq war dropping - May 16, 2004)

There are several things worrying for Bush campaign with the newest poll released today.

  1. Bush’s rating on war on terror has slipped (this had been his strong points till late)

  2. Bush’s rating on war on Iraq has slipped (understandable)

  3. Bush’s rating on economy has slipped (again, understandable though surprising cz recent economic news, esp jobs are encouraging)

  4. Kerry is now actually gaining support (thats a new - hasn’t happened in a while).

  5. Nader factor is absent. Even with Nader thrown into the ring, Kerry leads by 6 points.

Now, this is a poll in May. And many things can happen between now and November, but the trends are extremely interesting.

ps. The poll was carried out by phone on Wednesday and Thursday.
