Bush says his Administration is seeking new ways to harm the U.S.

More tax cuts combined with increased spending, sitting back as more and more people lose their jobs, taking away environmental rules, alienating Americas allies, cutting veterans benefits while calling up more reserves, I’d say Dubya is already doing a good job of screwing the U.S.

Bush Insists His Administration Seeking ‘new Ways to Harm Our Country’

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush offered up a new entry for his catalog of “Bushisms” on Thursday, declaring that his administration will “never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people.”
Bush misspoke as he delivered a speech at the signing ceremony for a $417 billion defense spending bill.

“Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we,” Bush said. “They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”

No one in Bush’s audience of military brass or Pentagon chiefs reacted.

:hehe:

Wow… a politician who’s actually not afraid to tell the truth!

Leno had a ball with this one last night.

Faisal, Leno? I expected better of you. :hoonh:

I don't miss his monologue. Even if I do, its DVR'd. Don't care much for the guy on CBS, whatever his name is.

Now now people … :nono3: lets not make fun of the President. We all know he is very “straightforward and plain-spoke” …

AJ the president is more like a bent spoke.

Had to laugh at the fact no one reacted, figures…

 <— maybe why???

The quote truly is classic - and you also have to wonder what exactly he meant by his second, "so do we."

It was after saying, "[Our enemies] never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people," so was he going for, "And we also never stop thinking about new ways to harm their country and their people"?

If so - even what he meant was idiotic.

Err... I thought the poor speech-writer (if there ever was one) probably meant to say something to the effect that "and neither do we stop thinking on how to stop them". Bush bhai jaan, probably decided to cut the "extra" fazool part of the sentence.

Yea I would agree with you there. That script goes through vigorous readings to find any mistakes. I think it was Bush speaking his heart out. BTW Faisal bhai, whom you Voting for ?
