President George W. Bush says Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama would attack Pakistan if he is elected chief executive.
In an interview with Fox News Sunday, Bush lambasted the Illinois senator, suggesting that he would change the course of the country with his proposed foreign policy.
“I certainly don’t know what he believes in. The only foreign policy thing I remember he said was he’s going to attack Pakistan and embrace Ahmadinejad,” said the president.
Bush added that he doesn’t believe the American people know enough about the 46-year-old candidate.
US President George W. Bush
When asked why so many are supporting the Democrat if they ‘don’t know enough about him’, Bush refused to comment and said, “You’re the pundit. I’m just a simple president.”
Bush was referring to Obama’s comments that the US should be willing to strike ‘high-value terrorist targets’ in Pakistan if ‘actionable intelligence’ becomes available and Islamabad refuses to take measures to counter the threat.
As part of his policy shift from the position of the Bush administration, Senator Obama has also said that he is willing to hold talks with Iranian leaders without setting a precondition.
Obama’s campaign response to the Chief Executive’s remarks was that “of course President Bush would attack the one candidate in this race who opposed his disastrous war in Iraq from the start. But Barack Obama doesn’t need any foreign policy advice from the architect of the worst foreign policy decision in a generation.”
Bush should keep an eye on what harm he has done to Americans and America with his cowboy style foreign policy around the world, rather then trying to convince voters to vote for another Republican Hillary.
If it becomes a McCain vs Obama thing, it will be a good competitive race. But if it is a McCain vs Hillary race I think McCain will win by a mile
My uncle's in the Republic Party, he's desperately hoping Hillary will win the Democrat nomination because they feel that's the easiest way for the Republicans to swing enough independent votes their way to win the presidential election.
We voted for Bush back in 2000 what did he do? George W. Bush Bankrupted America and Betrayed the Reagan Legacy. As super power he didn't resolve the major world conflicts, for example, Palestine and Kashmir problems still there. If he destroyed the world....., 9/11, war in Afghanistan and Iraq and conflict with Iran, continue supporting India and did not stop Israel when it destroyed southern Lebonan.
My vote for Barack Obama for president, a new face and new vision. I am sure Barack will do his best to resolve Palestine and Kashmir problems and we might see some change in foreign policies especially toward Middle-east and Afghanistan.
Pulling forces out of Iraq prematurely would be a bigger mistake than Iraqi invasion itself, and sending forces into Pakistan has the potential to create a new Iraq a few thousand miles away from the old one. As far as high value targets are concerned, even Bush has said that he is ready to take quick action if there’s actionable intelligence. And what makes you people think that Obama is going to be more pro-active in trying to resolve other world disputes?
As if Bush didn't do anything to Pakistan himself!? :S
Obama might step in Pakistan and invade it directly. while Bush had his chamchas like Mush to do that for him!!
