Re: Burqa Avenger
At least, they made the burka look good.
Re: Burqa Avenger
The bearded men are blowing up schools. The bearded men are killing women and children on the streets of Pakistan. The bearded men are violating the basic tenets of Islam.
So no problem with the cartoon, because it is reality.
You got an issue with the beard being mocked talk to your mullahs who are corrupt, rape and kill kids and blow up themselves in the name of Islam.
Re: Burqa Avenger
If some are having issues with the villain of the show being a man with a beard, why not pay attention to the fact that the heroin is veiled?
Re: Burqa Avenger
US funded ‘‘psychologicall’’ warfare… isn’t going to do shizz…just a waste of money…Little girls are more interested in sheila ki jawaani and models and the stuff like that…
“Psychological warfare”
This goddamn show is about a Superhero fighting extremists with books and pens and ****. Encouraging education.

At least they also show her as a teacher NOT wearing a burqa, and hot.

Acha? Your frand thinks otherwise.
Marvi Sirmed, an Islamabad-based journalist and human rights activist, thinks that it is not right to build a resistance figure out of a woman wearing a garment that has been strongly associated by some with the suppression of women.
“It is subversive and it says that you can only get power when you don a symbol of oppression,” says Ms Sirmed.
“It is demeaning to those brave women in the conservative parts of Pakistan who have been fighting for women’s rights, education and justice, and who have said ‘no’ to this kind of stereotype.”
Re: Burqa Avenger
PS: She be lookin’ hot and sexy…is this a kids’ show? Where are your brains? ![]()
Re: Burqa Avenger
Isn’t the burka a way to conceal her identity, like Batman.S
She seems more ninjaey to me, rather than some woman in the burka.
Re: Burqa Avenger
Well then that demeans the “honorable” burqa to that of a batman’s cape. Wait, maybe that’s the point. There is no meaning to the burqa, it’s just a piece of cloth. ![]()

You’re right. She does.
I personally like her character but I think they need to come up with more ideas/adventures/villains/more scenarios. This is like they’re repeating the Malala/Taliban story in every episode. They need to be more creative. There are too many other issues, they should include or tie in those problems in this story.
