burnt marks on stove

The other day I took a pan off the stove and set it down on the countertop. Now there is a ring mark from the bottom of the pan, which was hot off the stove. Anyway to remove it?

(Im not sure what the counter top is made of)

Re: burnt marks on stove

I think you'll have to change the counter top my friend, because if its burnt, theres no way you can revitalize it

Re: burnt marks on stove

try using Fantastik

Re: burnt marks on stove

I think it is laminated/Formica counter top and Spock's advice is right on the mark. If you can post a picture that might help to determine what kind of material it is.

If you can upload a piece of the material that will be even better. Just kidding about it.

:smack:

Re: burnt marks on stove

If it hasn't burnt and it's only a mark, use a bleaching agent.

Now how do we know if it has burnt or not? We don't. What were you thinking when you did that? When i did that once, I was trying to save the milk in the pot from boiling over and spilling. I didn't think further.

Can you post a picture of it?

Ya actually I guess it is more of a "mark" than "burnt", kind of like a light orange-brownish rim. What was I thinking --lol! I was preparing for a dinner party so I was kind of frantic and not thinking too much :) I lifted one pan off to stop it from overcooking and just needed to quickly set it down anywhere so I could turn my attention back to the rest of the things cooking!

I'll try taking a picture tomorrow in the daytime when the lighting is better

Baking soda and vinegar? See if it works..
