This issue keeps cropping up in the local media of Northern England. It has been exploited by the BNP. I think its wrong that any adult men target minors for sex and should be punished severely

BUT

at the same time why dont these parents of young daughters control their children more? So many young under-age white girls are sexually active that is it always the boy fault? What if he is lied to about her age?

I think this is one of the repercussions of having a sexually permissive society.

A HEARTBROKEN Burnley mum has issued an emotional plea for tighter controls on social networking websites after her teenage daughter was groomed for sex by older men over the internet.
The distraught 50-year-old, who we will call Lesley, said the family had been through “a living hell” over recent months after her 14-year-old became a target for sexual exploitation.
While she is still unsure whether her daughter was actually sexually abused by the men, the experience has left the girl and her family emotionally scarred.
The Express has revealed how young girls in Burnley are being sexually exploited by men who ply them with drink and drugs and give them lavish gifts and rides in fast cars.
For Lesley the nightmare began when she noticed a change in her daughter’s moods and that she was spending hours on social networking site Facebook chatting to “friends”, many of whom were older men of Asian heritage.
Things came to a head when Lesley’s daughter and friends were given so much drink, and possibly drugs, they had no recollection of what had happened to them.
Lesley said she hopes the family and representatives from Operation Freedom, a multi-agency taskforce to help victims of sexual exploitation, intervened in time to save her daughter from a more dangerous situation.
"We just pulled them back from the brink. You just feel like you are living your worst nightmare and you are not that person. You can’t believe it is happening to your family. You can’t function or do what you are supposed to be doing and normal everyday worries just fade into the background.
"The children involved can’t see what damage is being done but it is like they are being brainwashed by these people. My daughter couldn’t see she was being targeted and that is the really frightening bit.
"As soon as one of these men gets hold of your child’s phone number it gets passed around to others. They are targeting very, very vulnerable girls and the men aren’t always that much older, sometimes 18 or 21.
“My daughter has been brought up correctly and properly and knows right from wrong but for some reason these men twist their minds and this has a lot to do with social networking sites. They are not policed but I think they should be. I don’t care about people’s privacy. If you can’t do things in your everyday life you shouldn’t be able to do it in a virtual world.”
She begged parents to seek professional help if they suspect their child is being sexually exploited. “You really need help. No parent will be able to deal with this on their own as I found out. To see your own daughter being spirited away from you is horrific. If people don’t speak out about this it’s just going to carry on. People have to stand up and be counted.”

its not always men, i'd call these guys lads. they have gangs and these girls are used by them. they dont want relationships but rather boasts of sexual exploitation.

to be fair these girls are quiet thick to begin with, and they sometimes look unkept, scruffy and can be odorous but they dont deserve this type of evil exploitation.

i dont know about facebook grooming, but i do know about how this is played out on the streets. basically these guys will 'pick up' these girls who are game to chill with them but they often end up getting passed around. it is exploitation because theres no chance of a relationship. other then the exploitation the guys dont want anything to do with these girls.

The BNP and other right-wing nutters in this country always make this kind of thing a religion/race issue when it is not.

White and Black gangsters are also involved in this kind of thing.

Asian gangsters don't only groom white girls but also Asian/Muslim girls for sex.

These Asian gangsters even stand outside Islamic girls schools in towns like Blackburn and if the school happens to be within a Mosque complex then they even go in on the pretext of praying or using the bathroom to seduce young girls...

...Once they have seduced these girls they meet them in the bathrooms or they pick them up from school pretending to be their brother and saying they have a dentist or doctors appointment.

A few years ago Sikhs made it out like it was Sikh girls being specifically targetted and now BNP are making it out like it's white girls but the truth is that these people don't care about the religion/race of the girl, they just want a quick fcuk.

I admit it happens to Asian girls on a lesser scale but not because these Asian gangsters respect Asian girls any more but because Asian parents are far more stricter, protective and vigilant with girls...

...Asian girls can't go on sleepovers, they can't have male-friends, they have an ealier curfew (at home before the sun sets), their internet and phone activity is monitored etc. which makes them a harder target.

Also if the brothers of the Asian girls found out they would beat the abusers to a pulp which makes Asian girls a more dangerous target.

White parents are a lot more liberal, they believe their children should have 'their own space' and they respect their childrens privacy which as we have seen has negative consequences.

The lads should be prosecuted but they're not the only ones to blame...

The girls themselves are also to blame because at 14 you're not a baby anymore you should know right from wrong, a lot of the time the girls want it just as much, I knew a Paki girl from my school who use to sneak out at lunch break to meet an older Paki man and it was she who intially approached him. So these girls are not always sati savitri either.

The girls' parents are also to blame for being too lax with their kids.

There is a campaign in the UK to lower the age of consent to 14, I think that will help the problem because young people wont feel the need to hide their relationships and parents will be able to better monitor them.

Children are going to have sex before 16/18 whether we like it or not, whether we choose to acknowledge it or not…

What we can do is control and monitor who they have sex with.

Wow, what the need to post in the article that they were "Asian" men? Racist na?

And I agree with part of the first post while these men need to be severely punished parents need t do their job and not let their children be left open and vulnerable.

The Pakistani population of Burnley is mostly Pashtuns and Punjabis (Hindkowan) from Chach, Attock in NW Punjab.

They are mostly druggies and gangsters and they are involved in this kind of thing but they also pick up Paki girls from other towns.

As Muslims/Pakistani we should respect the honour of all women regardless of whether they are from our community or not.

What I don't agree with is making it out as though it is a Paki vs. White thing...

I admit Paki yobs are pretty messed up but there is no need to tar the whole community with one brush... Black, Latino, Sikh and White-Chav lads are just as bad.

I think the 'shock factor' is that gangs from other ethnic groups don't tend to have the guts to target schoolgirls specifically for prostitution, the average middle-class white person is going to see that as beyond sick and twisted and also the fact they don't tend to target their 'own' desi girls (obviously more likely for the reasons mentioned, they aren't allowed out etc. rather than having more respect for them), the boys who do this flaunt their behaviour whilst their parents often just turn a blind eye, really the community should condemn this stuff, it makes us look like hypocrites keeping the girls under such control whilst the lads are often left to run wild and never even called up on this stuff.. the funny thing is it's often these same boys who'll beat their own sisters up for 'stepping out of line.'

I knew of quite a few cases back at High School where older 20-something white-trashand black chav lads had girlfriends as young as year 9 (14 years old) who they would shag in the bushes at the end of the football field and also give weed and cigaretts to to sell in school...

But of course Pakis (Pakistanis, Indians, Bengalis) are the only ones going to be brought into the light by our racist biased media but the other ethnicities will get away with it scott free...

It's a known fact that our county's media and police force are racist and biased, if it wasn't for them this country would be a pretty good place to live.

I'm not saying these arseholes shouldn't be punished, I feel for the poor parents who have had their children abused, these dirty bstrds should have their lulli's sliced off...

BS, the poor parents don't approve or condone such behaviour from their boys either.

Boys are just harder to control, in our culture we have the mindset that boys are breadwinners and they have to go out so parents can't keep an eye on them all the time.

Trust me no Paki mother wants her son dealing drugs and shagging lower-class white girls. Paki mum's dream of their sons becoming doctors and engineers and then marry a paak saaf girl...

I have had friends who have turned pretty messed up and their poor parents anything but approved, I've heard the heart-wrenching cries of their mothers and the shame they brought to their fathers...

We're not Black or Latino for fcuk sake, no Paki parent would approve of his/her child becoming like the gangsters/yobs they have become, but what can the poor parents do?

^ There's a difference between 'approving' and 'turning a blind eye', of course they don't approve but I know of plenty of desi lads living on run-down estates driving round in 60/70/80k cars and their parents turning a blind eye and not asking questions when it's obvious the money has come from drugs and other illegal stuff, also seen myself when they get arrested the parents blaming 'racism' when the police turn up on their doorstep. The mothers might not like them having white 'girlfriends' but it's pretty rare for them to actually try and stop them from seeing them or simply having a go at them and saying it's not acceptable, usually they'll keep quiet and then get them married off to someone hoping they'll change and boys aren't necessarily harder to control, how difficult is it to have the same rules for sons and daughters and not act like complete hypocrites?

Sad thing about most of these girls is that they lose their virginity before they are 15. I dont agree with what these guys do but they are not going to be the first man to be taking her virginity. i have see how these young grls throw themselves at Men with cars and lie to them too.

I dont think lowering the age of consent will help. It will just ignore the problem.

Western media is hypocritical - one minute they promote Lady Gaga with her orgies in her videos yet when an "ethnic" person is involved they get offended.

That's true, I know of a few cases where girls have lied about their age and then the poor bloke gets done.

This happened to one of my white mates, he's the nicest person ever, poor lad.

I don't know why blokes always get made out as the criminal.

These girls are not exactly innocent either.
