Burning pages of Quran

If you go to landfills in Pakistan you will find all kinds of discarded papers and books. Many of those books you will find verses from Quran. I’m sure some of them end up being burned. If so, how come there is so much outrage if someone by accident ends up burning pages of Qurans. Btw, isn’t more respectful have those discard books burn so there they are not floating down the streets?

Re: Burning pages of Quran

Only permissible way to dispose quran is to burn it. As far I know.
Also think about it.

If some one is disrespecting quran, its more his problem then mine. Is quran only word of my Lord ?
I really feel sorry for such individuals, because he/she is disrespecting final words of his/her Lord.

Right ?
If I run into such people I would tell them, go wild in doing what you do, but know this is word of your creator.

Re: Burning pages of Quran

Yes, and all these wedding cards with full out quranic verses all get burnt. The other alternative is to put them in the trash can which... No.

Re: Burning pages of Quran

Other ways is in fresh river ... Or bury deep in the ground. If the text is Kachi you can also try to wash it out then dispose of the paper.

Re: Burning pages of Quran

As for as my understanding is, Allah says in Koran that he will protect His book until day of the judgement. If that is the case, you cannot burn the Koran. You can burn paper and ink, but you cannot burn the Koran (the message).

So, all those people who have no problem with newspapers and books with verses from Koran printed and discarded on streets...how come they have problem burning them? Those poor Christian couple murdered by mob what was their crime apart from being born in a country where persecution of this type is almost officially sanctioned?

Re: Burning pages of Quran

I don't think that it is the act of "burning" that people object to.....it is the intent of disrespect that is objectionable.
Like when a flag of a nation is burned.....
