Just a quick addition before i leave gupshup for the day and start studying for the mid-term on Tuesday....
The prophet (saw) was completelly correct in destroying those idols. I want to ask you non-muslims a questions, did the idols jump up and save themselves, did they stop the progress of the Muslims who became the worlds super power, who brought science, math, chemistry, biology, medicine, philisophy, who calsulated the circumference of the eart to an alarming degree of accuracy. Where were the idols then to stop anything??!?!
Islam is not about being independant of anything else. It is supreme. It superimposes everything else. Destroying idols juct comes to show the power the idols have. I mean when ghaznavi destroyed the idols, did the muslim rule over india finish, NO. Did the conversion of Million of Hindus to Islam stop, NO. Has it stopped yet, NO. There are still so many hindus converting. My Quran teacher was a converted Hindu!
On the issue of the taliban. I really dont care if they destroyed the idol but i would not have done the same thing if i was in their position. I mean things like idols just show or give an indicatio of how different* the people were before. Beliving in a idol, which is man made, as God. Kinda crazy in my point of view.
I reiterate that the talibans actions are a result of one thing. Political isolation. Till all of last year they were condemmed by the west of Opium prodution. In ONE YEAR afghanistan (which is under the taliban) became totally opium free. Columbi tried to do this ages ago and it still produces so much opium. The 5% under rafsangani still produces opium... About their women, 85% of girls school are still open and never closed. The 15% that did close were due to the lack of teachers. The whole world is against a country that just came out of decades of war and is not being supportive.
But i belive that Pakistan should support them, because, they are muslims and they are not evil as the media puts them. I believe that Pakistan should support them more so they can build their country and bring Khilafat to the world.
Peace, salam to all and May Allah's mercy fall on all of us so that the Muslims can unite and stop the trynny on this world and bring peace to the world. BTW Islam is derived from the world salam, which means peace. The other meaning is submission to the Will of Allah. No mater how many qurans the idol worshipers and non muslims burn, Islam will live and grow and one day, it will become the light it was once before. And i hope that this comes in my lifetime and if not i hope that I am a 'zariya' (urdu word which means path or the way to) to this.
