These are very simple to make. Colored cloths need color technology. Islam is a natural no technology is requried to be a simple muslim.

It depends on religion of the person who is going to be buried and those people who are burying him. It depends on availability too. It depends on the special will of that person who is died.
^so if a young woman dies and her parents want to bury her in red dulhan kay kabray coz they always wanted to make her a bride or something and she's muslim and the dulhan kay kabray is available. Do you think that's ok.. is that what you mean when you said it depends?

No. You could not get the question.
We are NOT discussing about what is “good” and what is “not good”.
If a young woman dies and her parents want to bury her in red dulhan kay kabray coz its part of their culture or religion and she is NOT muslim and the dulhan kay kabray is available. You and I can’t stop anybody to bury their dead, which ever method they want. It depends on their religious funeral method. Similarly the person who is died can also not stop those people, which ever method they adopt because that person is dead.

Please correct me if I am wrong..but i think Coconut was refering to muslim burial cloth...
As far as i Know ..muslims should only be buried in White piece of cloth. not in dulhan's outfit or any other outfit they wish for or something their family members pick for them.
Hindus ..burn the corpse
Christian..bury them in their favorite/best outfit.
so if someone who has lived their life as a Muslim and in an Islami 'culture' wants to get buried in a colored cloth they'd be going against:
or both?

Your are perfectly right, however, Bro Coconut did not mention in his first part of question whether its for Muslims or non-Muslims.
Therefore Question or Quires must be very clear. Sometime people ask questions in general and sometime they want specific answers but they don’t mention it.
A shroud should be white, as it is recorded by Ahmad, Abu Daw'ud, and Tirmizhi on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Wear white clothes, for these are your best clothes, and enshroud your dead in them." Tirmizhi considers it a sound hadith.

Hadith from Shahi Bukhari.
Vol 2, Book 23. Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz). Hadith 354.
Narrated By 'Aisha : Allah's Apostle was shrouded in three Yemenite white Suhuliya (pieces of cloth) of cotton, and in them there was neither a shirt nor a turban."
Sahih al-Bukhari Hadith: 6.515
Narrated Yusuf bin Mahk:
While I was with Aisha, the mother of the Believers, a person from Iraq came and asked, "What type of shroud is the best?" 'Aisha said, "May Allah be merciful to you! What does it matter?" .....
