The article says specifically :
"The survey was not a part of any school syllabus and was done as an initiative of the board. It was circulated mostly in private schools. "
Also, this happened in 2002, according to the article. We're in 2005. Where has this issue gone? Are these questions still being asked, or was it an experimentive move by private schools?
Nowhere does it say that Musharraf is endorsing this. These questions are not part of the curriculum that the government adopted, as these questions were only circulated in some private schools.
Musharraf didn't devise those questions, and I'm sure he didn't endorse them, as the article does not say so. Nor were the questions circulated in PUBLIC schools.
If anything, this article STRENGTHENS the assertion that elite behavior has deviated substantially from religious norms. But Musharraf's goals certainly are not forcefully or even subconsciously leading the population into such debauchery.
