Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

I'm so depressed when I look at these, no way I can afford a Bunto for my wedding day. But nothing else compares and Im too scared go with anyone else cos I may not like what I get. Anyone got any suggestions for any good designers who can make something similar at a cheaper price??

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

this is by Bunto's mother-in-law..

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Aww, don't be depressed. You know you can split the payments, as in pay a down payment and pay the rest after you get your outfit (usually 6-9 months after your initial inquiry and down payment). Or you can try Dr. Haroon. What is your budget? Bunto is very expensive but I am going to make sure I have enough saved by the time I'm married to be able to afford a Bunto on my big day.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Thanks M! To be honest there's no way I'd even be able to afford down payments, myself and my fiance are looking at buying a place as well, and that combined with the cost of a wedding is quite a lot, especially as it is us and not our parents who will be paying for most of it, which means I dont have much of a budget, something around £1000-1500? I'm getting married early next year as well so I doubt that its enough time to get a Bunto suit made, after hearing about how much she is already booked for the next year! Im going to have a look around in Pakistan soon (I live in London) but even still there's a big worry about designers upping the prices once they find out im from England, it's happened to a few of my friends before! I've heard about Dr Haroon, but I think even his prices may be too high for me. But thanks for the advice! x

Re: Bunto Kazmi’s Designs

No problem! And in your budget you could get an amazing outfit from this boutique in Lahore called Zardozi. Here are 2 examples of bridals from there:

Purple: http://www.paklinks.com/gsmedia/files/91794/purple.jpg

Mixed: http://www.paklinks.com/gsmedia/files/55704/dedds1.jpg

Both are under 2 lac and fit easily within your budget.
Karma is another one that does great kaam on their outfits which look great as traditional or contemporary cuts.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

I'm saving my pennies from now on hehe. These ghararas are to die for! Does anyone know how a 3 to 3.5 lac bunto gharara looks like? :-)

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Thank you so much my love!!! I shall definitely be checking them out, I've heard of them before, and my best friend also told me to check out Mohnsin & Sons (in Rawalpindi I think) cos she got her wedding dress from there as well! But i may PM you at some point if i want more ideas, hope you don't mind!! x

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Mohnsin and Sons should be cheaper than Zardozi. I found the people at the Lahore branch very rude. There are plenty of Bunto bridals that could be copied as well (don't kill me) as they are pretty straightforward. Zardozi won't do that but M&S should be able to.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Mad Hatter, my budget is around the same as yours (probably even less!) and I am planning on getting my suit from Mohsin and Sons in Rawalpindi! I have nothing but amazing things to say about them! A friend of mine is getting a heavy Mehdi-imitation dress made from there and it looks exquisite! Another friend of mine got a Ayesha Varsey copy made from there for about $1300....it's superrrrrrrrr heavy and blinged out!

Don't worry if you don't have the budget for a designer. You can still get really nice stuff made within your budget. I highlyyyyy recommend M&S Pindi (don't know about the Lahore one). Zardozi seems nice as well though and I do plan on checking them out when I go shopping in Pakistan.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Sorry I meant Zardozi Lahore branch were very rude. I don't think Mohsin and Sons have a Lahore branch.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

yeah mohsin sons are great!i just took visited them today and gave an order for a party wear outfit!took some time to explain but they finally got it and hopefully inshallah the dress turns out as i imagined!cant wait!:)

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

^ Bunto's brides are all so universally gorgeous, classy and elegant! Love her look and the colours of her jora are so fresh too.
