Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Re: Bunto Kazmi’s Designs

Bunto bride?

The anarkali is reallyyyy pretty too.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

^^^Yeah!! saw that anarkali in Bridal Pics--its pretty and the long shirt/culotte dress on the side is even prettier!

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Okay a question for all those lucky girls out there who wore a Bunto creation on their wedding, or know someone who did - how long lasting are her bridals? I mean, does the kaam turn black or change color over time? What is the condition of your bridal now? How long would you say a dress remains looking "fresh" and "brand new"?
I'm probably going to have a dress made by her InshaAllah for my wedding this winter. I've chosen the colors, kaam everything, I just have to go finalize it. But after seeing some of the lovely pictures on here, I'm debating whether to add more money to the suit and make it heavier, as initially I chose mine to be quite light. But is it a good investment? Or should I spend that money on jewellery instead :S?!

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

^^I'm assuming they are pretty timeless because her bridals are considered heirloom-worthy. And a quick question: how much does the average BK bridal cost? I've heard the average is 10 lakh which personally gave me a heart attack since I thought 2.5 lakh was pricey!

Please tell me I've heard wrong. I wouldn't like crazy kaam either but 10 lakh? Haye. ><

I hope so, but my experience with "dabka" which she used a lot, is that it darkens over time, as well as the metal holders for the swarovski crystals. And hahaha who told you that?! 10 lakh is definitely NOT average! That's like probably towards her heaviest ever! I saw an 8 lakh outfit of hers and there was so much kaam you could barely see the cloth! So definitely not, I think average is more around 4-5. For 3 you'll get something very light, at 4 or 5 you'll get something decent, and anything upwards of that will be heavy but totally customized and gorgeous. Check her out!

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Mahi :(...my cousins pictures here too :(...please can you remove them?

I dont think a 3 lakh jora of Bunto's would be light...when people hear a designer's range, they always assume they have to pay at least a lakh more than the starting price otherwise the outfit won't be heavy enough. A real designer will give you their best whether you're paying minimum price or not. My friend's Bunto jora was 4.5 in August and it looked as heavy as her 8 lakh joras (to me anyways). you don't need the outfit to be full of work to look bridal so why not just get a 3 lakh jora? At least in my experience with Dr Haroon, whether he was mentioning a starting price outfit or not, they were all beautiful...

Besides, with most bridals, you'll find that one part of the outfit wont have as much kaam....either the kameez will be full and the gharara will have less, or the gharara/sharara will be full and the kameez will have less.

In my own experience with Bunto, and I just met her a few days ago, she told me that a 3 lakh jora was very light. It would include some work on the neckline, sleeves, a border on the 'daaman', and a light 'booti' over the shirt and gharara. And the border on the dupatta was also quite thin. I wanted more kaam, chatta-patti on the gharara and full kaam on the sleeves so I had to upgrade my price to 4. I might add more money now though to fill up the shirt more. I don't think a 3 lakh dress would look bad at all, even they were beautiful, but they're more suited for a simple bride who's wearing light jewellery in my opinion. By the way, your friend who got her suit for 4.5, did she have lots of kaam on the shirt? I might just increase by 1/2 lakh then and get the full shirt instead of increasing 1 lakh. Ughhh, decisions decisions :(.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

I'm sure you're right, then, but PLEASE don't add more money to the price cause you're worried about less kaam! Its your choice and inshaAllah I hope you make a beautiful bride no matter what, but I think the only slightly negative thing about some recent Bunto bridals is that they have been getting too heavy...it can get overwhelming with certain makeup and jewelery, and she has such beautiful work that her outfits are showstoppers in themselves. Besides, the amount of work you described sounds like my ideal Bunto jora....I love her chatta patti stuff, and the full sleeves (3/4 length). If you already got a heavier border on the dupatta, you might not need to add more to the shirt because the border might be displayed a bit in the front.

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Thanks for the reply, Giggles! Please do post some pictures of your outfit when it's done. We'd all love to see!

Btw, in order to get an outfit made from her, how much in advane do you have to book her and do you have to go to KHI?

so would this dress be in the 5 lak range or more?

would love this dress in deep red and olive green!

Re: Bunto Kazmi's Designs

Beautiful! And I love how the average BK bride wears a jhoomar, I love those for their regality and old-school charm which also happens to define BK.

i loved this bridal and a lot of guppies had tried finding more pics of this dress. couldnt believe it was a bunto when i saw it on her fan page.
