Bunny boiler is a pejorative term for an obsessive and dangerous person, referring to a former lover who stalks the person who spurned them. The term is normally used for a woman who stalks a male** former lover**.

The term derives from a scene in the 1987 film Fatal Attraction where a scorned woman, seeking revenge on her ex-lover, kills his daughter’s beloved pet rabbit and places the deceased animal in a pot of boiling water when he is away from home.

Then bunny boiler is a wrong word to use here… no??? because of bold words as she said… he never took interest in her :halo:

TLK, he has already told her to back off and that he's not interested, now he just wants to ignore.. We only found out about the tattoo last weekend tho, she must have gotten it done quite recently.. She was saying she'd change her religion as well, now I'm wondering if she has gone and done that too (obviously not realising the tattoo is a big negative lol).. God the last thing I need is her turning up at the mosque for Eid!

PinkOrchids, he has changed his number already but as we have mutual friends and as I said everyone sort of knows each other she managed to get hold of it somehow.. Could get someone to find her a similar guy but no-one half decent would want a girl with a tattoo of another guy's name - esp on the arm where it's going to be seen by everyone practically every day.. Also, could be she's also getting off on the thrill of the chase, you know some ppl tend to want what they can't have..

RV, I'm friends with her ex best friend now.. they're no longer on speaking terms tho (I dunno what happened, seems to be a touchy subject).. I'm not close to any of the girls she hangs around with now, just see them around in town etc. I know them by face but don't really talk to them.. People who do know what she's doing just seem to shrug their shoulders and say 'she says she loves him'.. (she's also told him this on the phone and txted this to my phone from ex best friend's handset, also txted ME to 'back off' because she reckoned he belonged to her, of course she doesn't have the guts to show her own number, even when she calls my SO)..

Theorist, your situation sounds v.similar to mine.. Ppl did used to tell me she was looking for the two of us on Facebook but both our profiles are unsearchable and private (it was originally meant to deter nosey aunties + relatives lol) :D

Have you ever called her or sent her an email asking her flat out how this obsession with your guy started? I wouldn't be accusatory or mean if you decide to. You could just ask her where this is all coming from... Did they ever date? Does he ever call/ write/ text/ IM her? Tell her that you and him are engaged or married and you would really appreciate her understanding that he will never be with her. Sorry you are going through all of this.. I would be super annoyed with her!!
