** BUMPITS**

hey ladies, have any of you tried the BumpIts in your hair? you can find them at this website https://www.bumpits.com/ or walmart, walgreens, target, etc. it looks pretty cool. the commercial on TV makes them look super easy to do. what do u think? any experience with them? im thinking of purchasing them to do a 1/2 updo style for an upcoming function…

Re: ** BUMPITS**

^i was curious about them myself! they seem alright, only thing is, i'm sure you will feel like there's plastic in your hair, and that would probably annoy me until i remove it..but that's just me. i don't know how else i can get volume in the crown. i don't like teasing, it's really damaging for the hair. i've heard of volumizing mousse's, but i'm not sure if they work well or what brands work best.

Re: ** BUMPITS**

yea i've tried volumizing mousses/gels/shampoos. they are good, but nothing as drastic as the BUmpit. with this you get major volume...

Re: ** BUMPITS**

LOL, I just saw BUMPITS at CVS a while ago. I went to go get the Smooth Away hair remover. And it was located in the section that contains all the other tv infomerical products :)

yikes smooth away got terrible reviews so i feel bad for your skin

i purchased bump its and liked the results i got. I normally am amble to add volume to my hair by teasing but i have very long, heavy, thick hair so it's hard to keep it up. Anyhow i thought i'd try it on my hair without teasing and just basically shook my head around and it really didn't move. So that alone i was very very shocked and pleased. I am familiar with sectioning my hair and teasing the crown, laying it properly over the bump-it and smoothing it out so that wasn't a problem. My hair without a bump-it normally would get a bit flat as the night goes on and i'd have to push it up again or re-tease mid-night but with this device i never had that problem. so it made things way easier.

now if you have thin hair then you'll be SOL because no matter how much you tease it won't fully cover your hair, ppl will see the device and that'll be pointless.

but for those of yall that don't want to buy it please realize you can tease your hair and have big hair with just a can of hairspray and a good teasing comb.

Re: ** BUMPITS**

thanks for your review! i dont necessarily have thick hair, but its not super thin either. i guess i'll give it a try and return it if its disappointing, heheh

Re: ** BUMPITS**

I have them and my hair is fine!
Waste of money, you can see the plastic through my hair.

like i said if you have fine or thin hair it just wont work... however i do wonder if you put your own hairballs inside would that fix the problem?

Re: ** BUMPITS**

omdaisies... those are exactly what ive been lookin for!!!

our own hairballs?? what do you mean?

when my best friend went to pakistan the hair salon had these balls of hair that were kinda weaved together and glued under it was a clip so she could clip it into hair for height.

none of the salons in our area has those and she has very fine hair. she wanted to have the poof in teh front (bangs) and sit her dupatta and i realized we could easily make hairballs almost the same way but just saving hair from her brush. Mind you it took a long time but we kinda formed a shape, kept adding to it for a few weeks and hot glued a hair clip at the bottom and it worked.

wow, no way...wat an awesome idea!!!

wow :)

Re: ** BUMPITS**

I've just ordered some of ebay for £5.30 including p&p. Will let you guys know what I think of them.

Re: ** BUMPITS**

I bought the bump its after watching the infomercial. My face looks best with added volume at the top so this is something I needed badly. After purchasing it, obviously it wasn't as great as the commercial made it out to be but it does work and I have used it a few times. But if you have super fine or super silky hair then it won't stay as put and you will need extra bobby pins to secure it in place.
