Prophet(pbuh) glowing tribute to this man ......

The Holy Prophet paid a glowing tribute to Abu Bakr when he said:

There has been none more bountiful to me for his unwavering loyalty, devotion and sacrifice of wealth than Abu Bakr. If I were to choose a bosom friend it would be he, but Islam has made a closer **brotherhood **among us all."

The Holy Prophet also directed:

Let every door that leads into the mosque be closed, **except the door of Abu Bakr." Thereafter the Holy Prophet returned to the apartment of Ayesha

Prophet(pbuh) smiled .....

The morning of the 8th June brought some relief. Fever and pain somewhat abated. Moving the curtain of his apartment he saw the faithful offering their prayers under the Imamat of Abu Bakr. He smiled on that ......

The Holy Prophet supported by Ali **walked to the mosque. The people made way for him, opening their ranks as he stepped forward. Abu Bakr **stepped backward to vacate his seat for the Holy Prophet. The Holy Prophet told Abu Bakr by a motion of his hand to continue to lead the prayers.

Re: Bulbul ko hai phool...parwanai ko charagh bas......

Two powerful quotes/actions from Abu Bakr (RA) that illustrate his greatness and wisdom...both of which will send shirk committing fools and you know you are, out there squirming...

Upon the passing of the Prophet PBUH, the news was so hard upon close companions and Muslims that some of them refused to believe that he had passed away. Upon hearing this, Abu Bakr (RA) went to the mosque and delivered one of the noblest speeches:

"O People! If Muhammad is the sole object of your adoration, then know that he is dead. But if it is Allah (The One God) you Worshiped, then know that He does not die."

And second is instance is when he threatened the degenerates, whose decendents are still around and continue to create mischief, with the sword when they refused to pay zakat...

Re: Bulbul ko hai phool...parwanai ko charagh bas......

^^ exactly....no doubt about the greatness of abu bakr....
it is said that when umar heard the news of prophet(pbuh) death..he drew out his sword in half madness..that he will not spare anybody who will say that prophet(pbuh) has died....there abu bakr....with soft and tender heart...became the steel rod .....and said in a strict voice the above beatiful sentence which you quoted above....

and umar fell like a broken wooden piece and said that its seems i first time hearing this verse of quran !!!!!

where the tenderness of abu bakr has gone !!!!! and where the enthusisitic and harsh attitude of umar has gone !!!!!

in matters of prophet(pbuh) ...and quran...abu bakr became like a mountain...unchanged by any argument....and thats why he is titled by the prophet as Afzal-ul-Bashar-Badul Anbia...means the greatest man on the face of earth after prophets.....
