It is not strong at all, or maybe we are used to it. But we love to use it every so often. My husband likes to light it after i cook a desi meal, lol. And lusi, it certainly doesnt produce enough fumes to trigger the fire alarm. Hubs was worried about the same thing when i first burned the incense but it hasnt happened so far. And the place smells great.
Ok thanks.. we haven't used it in US so I just wasn't too sure. I know this one time our fire alarm went off with agar batti...lol.. And yeah if you are used to it then you might not find it too strong but I for the first timers it is somewhat or maybe the arab people use the strongest one...lol
Oh btw you dont just put bakhur in the burner directly. You light a coal disc and use that to burn bukhur. These days are are hooked on Uud instead of bakhur, uud is teh kind that is in the form of some sort of tree bark.
