Building your relationship over phone/text

So for some of us getting the nikah done is only the beginning of a long and arduous journey

I’d love to hear about your experiences; From those of you who have had to talk to their SO via phone/text/email etc. to maintain the relationship how did it go? What did you learn? Did you end up becoming closer or did it lead to ending things altogether? Do tell

And for your auditory stimulation do check out the following:

Texting via apps on smartphones (Kakaotalk/whatsapp are great), skype, phone, emails and Facebook messages. Yes, FB messages. It's probably something you end up checking daily, not as old-school as email and it's instant + you can delete the messages if you change your mind. Then slowly transition to talking to each other via skype/phone and once you establish that the rest is easy-peasy.

all of it being a way of communication does help ofcourse. I would rather texting does convey wrong gestures and misunderstandings sometimes. In person is the best of communications at the end and the safest too.
