Do you follow a budget and if so, how do you budget your monthly expense? Do you set aside some cash or pay as required and keep a mental check on how much to spend?
Re: Budgeting
for groceries, i keep that amount set aside in cash.
but i do a **** job of it (no wonder my hubby is always pissed at me). see, ill break a 20 for groceries, and ill end up using change for lunch or something. ![]()
Re: Budgeting
Yup, I have a strict budget … Just to make sure we are saving as much as we want to …
So say £50 was left unused from last months kitchen expense , I shift it to the next months entertainment rather then kitchen expense … it really does wonders ![]()
I usually just keep aside the money , cant be bothered with keeping an individual check on things we buy…
Re: Budgeting
I keep it aside too…I manage to save some every month but that goes to my gift-buying account… and I go crazy with it in the sale seasons…which reminds me it’s time to go crazy
It’s good in a way that whenever we go back to Pak it doesn’t feel like a burden, as we do have a fairly large family mashAllah.
Sometimes I am tempted to spend on fazool items and well I do end up spending, I don’t disturb my savings
I just ask him for more
Sara you can use a separate mini wallet …and if you have to borrow from that wallet make sure you return to it at the end of the day..might help
