I once posted defence budget for year 2011-12.
The breakdown of defence budget for fiscal year 2011-2012 (for army, navy, air force and other institutions that are part of forces) is as follow:
Employee salaries: Rs206 billion;
(that pay wages of ~ 1 million Pakistanis … part of it go back to government in form of taxes)
Operating expenses: Rs128 billion;
Physical assets: Rs117 billion;
And civil works: Rs42 billion.
That comes to Rs 493 billion
