Budget for wedding related costs (DJ, photo etc) - Toronto

Hi, I am planning my wedding reception in Toronto (October) and wanted to know what is a reasonable amount to budget for:

  • Décor
  • DJ
  • Photography
  • Videography

Those are the big items (outside of the hall – booked, and food which is in progress and very important for a good function).

I am looking for good value; of course I know that the more I spend the better it can be, but I don’t need the best, but I would like to get something good in return for what I spend.

So I’m looking for ranges (and recommendations!).

Here's what my budget was:

DJ/MC - 1200
Videography(don't much and unlike pictures, I only watched the video twice) - 2000
Decor: $5000
Photography(main thing for us since we wanted to look good and appreciate good pictures) - 5500

Unfortunately, I can only recommend our photographer as there were some small issues with other vendors.

Hey! I'm getting married next year in May. Can you also pm me the info. I'm looking for a good videographer and photographer. Our budget is $8,000 in total for video and photography.
