Recently came across a list of 100 books to read in a lifetime.
Got me thinking - what books would be on your bucket list. What books would you recommend as a MUST read —?! A life and death matter
My list was slightly morbid - nothing comical on it.
Anything by Astrid Lindgren. Legendary Swedish children books author. Read especially Pippi Longstocking to your daughters! All I can say that everything this woman has written has been amazing! You cannot go wrong.
Harry Potter - J.K Rowling. A must read series and gift this series to your children when they're old enough to read thicker books. It's the most amazing series!
Emma - Jane Austen
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
Gone with the wind - Margaret Mitchell
Oh The Places You'll Go - Dr Seuss. One of the most uplifting children books ever.
To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee
Newer books:
The Fault in Our Stars - John Green
The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
Divergent - Veronica Roth
Wonder - R.J Palacio (this book ... you just have to read it! Today! Right now!!!!)
^^ Patha nahee, I really enjoyed them both. I feel like each gave me a view of a perspective that I'd not seen so clearly before.
The kitchen house - the charaters were so alive, I felt like there were actually ghosts and at the end of the book when I read the author's interview and she revealed how she came to writing the book everything made sense. I loved that everyone was gray - there was no super hero just good people helping each other survive.
Me before You -- same thing. It turned me on to classical music. I'm dying to go to a live concert. Everywhere I go I notice if the place is equipped for wheelchairs and I've literally come to thank my graces for the ability to move my limbs at will.
