i'm not on anyone's side but come on guys she hasn't really ever cracked a dirty chichora joke.... being rigorous in interviews is a part of her job...
or is it just because desi girls aren't supposed to be that way? we're all supposed to be sharmeeli chup chaap type?
^ That. Nadia Khan thinks her cutesieness allows her to be rude and condescending and people don't get her true intentions.
Bubbliness is okay - but there needs to be substance, i.e. intelligence and compassion, to go along with it.
but that's the thing...in our culture, its generally promoted that we all be extra nice n sweet to each other's face n then talk soooo much crap about each other when the person is not around but people like nadia are just honest and in your face. wouldn't you prefer that if someone has an issue with you they say it to your face so you can defend yourself as opposed to make comments after you leave like 99% of desi women do?
for example i remember that show where she had invited the "Ms. pakistan" from canada on her show and was REALLLLLY rude and condescending with everything she said. lol. but it was quiet obvious that being a paki muslim she'd be against that sort of thing and its like she was giving her viewers a chance to express their anger and frustration with her while also giving "ms pakistan" a chance to show viewers a good, paki side (which she didnt) and gain some publicity.
Aw Barbie…I didnt mean you . It was just a general comment…
People have actually asked me to get upset and have a bad day just so they know I can have one too. And I get a little confused by that because I think I do have bad days when I am not feeling my best or up for much socializing. Maybe it doesnt show up? I dont know. What I do know is that its something I cant help…people sense it but its not necessarily something I try to give off…

The discussion is about bubbliness in general - which I don't see as a negative trait, so long as there is sincerity behind the sweet and friendly demeanour.
Nadai Khan specifically, uses the meethi churi approach - says whatever she wants but because she's super cute and smilie, it's all supposed to be okay.
^Yep she is totally annoying.
I like bubbly people..... they are not sarcastic, they say things as they are and they're positive, happy-go-lucky people. They don't hold grudges and they're mostly nice, straight forward, honest people. Categorizing Nadia Khan as bubbly is the insult of bubbliness and bubbly people around the world should be offended.

I agree....I like and enjoy the company of bubbly people they always brighten your day
its funny how the majority of people living in Pakistan actually love her… hence, the show’s been going on for so long… most of us on GS are living outside of Pakistan and we don’t seem to like her
I agree - bubbly and annoying are different. There can be quite a fine line between the two for some people.
Someone who is bubbly is confident in themselves and has the ability to hold conversation with those around them and make everyone feel their presence. That is nice to have around.
Someone who is annoying, is someone who tries too hard to act bubbly/nicey nice! There was a girl on my undergrad degree who was annoyingly bubble - she was just so in peoples faces (think Nadia Khan lol) and she would talk to you almost as if she was patronising you!
Barbie - I can see why people find her annoying. She acts way too childish, she is one of those people who is not bubbly, just rather annoying! She wears some nice clothes though lol.
^ wat I also find annoying is when people talk so much that its not a conversation any more... a conversation is a discussion between two people... so yeah over-the-top cheery people can be annoying if they don't let anyone else talk much..
