Bryan Adams to perform in city
KARACHI: The multi-platinum artist, Bryan Adams, will undertake a three-day visit to Pakistan during which he will perform live in Karachi on January 29 to help raise funds for Zindagi Trust, run by singer Shehzad Roy.
An announcement to this effect was made on Wednesday at a press conference held here at a local hotel.
Speaking on the occasion, Richard Coram, who represents Bryan Adams, said during his visit Adams was also expected to visit the Northern areas and added that Adams had visited various countries including America, Europe and Japan and that he was very excited to come to Pakistan and performed in Karachi.
Richard pointed out that Adams will come here with full live band and some of the best musicians in the world, adding that the January 29 event in Karachi would prove to be a great international event.
Shehzad Roy, President of Zindagi Trust, expressed hope that the charity concert planned in aid of education for underprivileged would help raise a sum of Rs15 million and added that every effort would be made to hold the event in an organized manner and seemed determined about no gate crashing.
Ali Mehmoud, Chief Executive of Nokia Pakistan, said as an artist of such a great fame, Adams’ visit will help put Pakistan on the international concert touring map and will also encourage other world-renowned musicians to add Pakistan to their schedule
