Re: brussels
Brussels is not a very "happening" city in my book. But there are a few things that you can do if you are there for a few days.
Atomium is obviously one of them, although I haven't visited it myself when I was in Brussels.
The Manneken Pis is actually much smaller than in looks on pictures.
What I really found interesting is the "European Quarter" where all the EU institutions are located. I don't know whether you can go there as a tourist though. We had a guided tour of the EU Parliament and the EU Commission, but that was part of our excurision. I don't know whether they do that for "regular" tourists as well.
The town hall area.
The "food street". I don't know how it is really called. It is a very famous, but small street full of restaurants (mainly seafood) and it's walking distance from the town hall.
Re: brussels
Umer yeah i was not a big fan of Brussels lasttime I was there, then with a study group we got to tour a lot of the EU..then EC places as they were then.
mannaken Pis was small, i saw it, took a pic and dont think i want to bother again.
and the food street, i had the best shellfish there..
Re: brussels
I will probably wing it. i wish that the meetings were in rome or barcelona

Re: brussels
Belgium is quite a small country (smaller than most US states) so travelling from one city to another shouldn't be a problem. If you decide to go out, try out historical cities such as Antwerp, Luik (Liege), Gent (Gand), or cross the border to Holland and visit Rotterdam, The Hague :D (these have a direct connection from Brussels by train - appx 2 hours)

Re: brussels

dinn shee squat, except forthe WW1 memorial, and the center square thingie.
Re: brussels
My mum had her business in Brussels so we use to travel there like every month...i personally think it's the world's most boring country apart from the chocolate waffles yum yum.
Re: brussels
I know this is a 2 year old thread, but I was just checking to see if any guppies live in antwerp? nescio bhai, do you know any desi/musalmans there?
