Bruce Almighty

Universal Pictures’ Bruce Almighty is a wild new comedy about a man who goes looking for God… and finds Himself (Naoz o billah). The film re unites two-times Golden Globe Award winner Jim Khattie Carrey and producer/director Tom Shadyac, the actor’s collabarator on the megahits Ace Venture: Pet Detective and Liar Liar. Starring with Khattie Carrey are two time GGA winner and Emmy winner Jennifer Aniston and three time Acadamy Award nominee Morgan Freeman (one of my fav. actor I really like his style and coolness)

Starting on May 25 in theatre near me

Looks like a good plot, but not good enough to watch it on the theaters.

Kinda like Liar Liar!!! Love the part where Carrey abuses his powers, especially to lift skirts LOL

its starting this Friday, May 23 here in NJ. can't wait.

:rotfl:
but how could a skirt fly up all the way to shoulders?

I liked the part when he tells god (morgan freemen) how many fingers he’s holding. :hehe:

I really wanna see this movie. I love Jim Carrey and Morgan Freeman, both are extremely talented and I'm gonna go watch this movie.

something about this movie juss seems so "nyah".

would've loved to see him in the upcoming Dumb and Dumberer though, even though the new kid's take on Carrey's character looks promising on TV previews.

jim carrey alone is worth every penny you spend in theatre ..i cant wait for this one...dumb and dumber is still my favorite comedy

shud e gud :k: jim carrey rocks

This movie has opened in North America and is playing at a theaters. Just so you know, the date Salman bahi gave is for Europe I think.

the reviews are solid. I'll see if I can take some time out during the weekend......might as well check it out.

Saw it yesterday. two :k:

^ A1 lala zara reviews tu do na :D

Re: Bruce Almighty

Hmm.. out of my curiosity I punched “bruce almighty” on the GS searchbar and found myself in this thread, eh? I had the DVD of this movie back in Dubai a few years ago, but now I can’t find it :(. Anyway it was pretty funny, although the plot could’ve been more subtle (it was banned in some Muslim countries cuz of it). I went over it again at YouTube, came across a handful of hilarious tummy-aching scenes, especially the one with Steve Carell as the newsman and Carrey makes him say weird things (“I do da cha cha like a sissy girl” :hehe:)… I almost burst into tears during that scene I was laughing so hard. And the scene with the Mexican gangsters is also really funny, where a monkey rips through the ass of a thug (eww).

A sequel, Evan Almighty, is coming out June 2007 and it has Steve Carell (uh-oh) in the title role… this time around the fortunes are turned for the newsman I guess. I think it’s based on the Noah’s Ark concept judging by the trailer shows, so ppl who are careful about religious depictions should definitely avoid that like the first movie.
