phir ye purani aurtain pata nhi q mujy tang krti hain ice cream bhi khane nhi detien na kuchh thanda .. ajeeb aurtain hain .. kehti hain thanda pani nhi peena feed main aser hoga baby ko q k cough hy baby ko ..

But you're not a purani aurat are you? I'm sure you're educated enough to be able it figure out that eating ice cream or taking a shower isn't going to effect your breast milk or baby.

With education comes the knowledge that colds and virus are not transmitted through a mother eating ice cream or taking a cold shower. When you eat or drink something cold, do you honestly think it goes through your digestive system, gets absorbed into your body and then transmit through your breast milk still as a cold block of ice cream? Food does not cause the common cold. It's microorganisms from the air and those who carry these microorganisms ( someone who is already infected with the common cold and comes in contact with you) that causes the common cold.

These things are common in Pakistan, even here in US, people who have come from Pakistan still follow these customs. This is not true though. Don't argue with them, but rest assured, your cold showers will not affect baby IA.
