The Arab League is not a league of Muslims representing Muslims ... It is a group made up of power hungry leaders who happen to be Muslim and they represent the Arab elite and scratch the back of the oligarchs of the West.
This includes the armies of most of the Arab world.
The brotherhood is there ... We just need a solution regarding the ambivalence of Arab and Muslim leaders ... Unfortunately it will take around a decade to undo the damage ... The damage that has been caused by people focusing on material means and abandoning du'a ...
Pakistan's strategy itself is to ally with The Syrian regime, because it sees them as socialists, allied with Iran and China. Malaysia is like that too ... The way we can help us by putting pressure on our governments through letters and requests for them to take a stand. So pak-one shall we write a letter to Pakistan government explaining that we want to openly condemn the Syrian Regime and put troops in to Syria to work with the Rebels?
I meant that there is a lack of brotherhood even WITHIN sects as Deobandi and Barelvi are both Sunnis.
I’m a believer in self renewal and improvement so we, as Muslims, must look within and correct our deviant practices and the fitnas within our midst before preaching to the world about Al-Islam.
Alas, this latest hypocrisy in line with ME’s post colonial history.

I agree with you on the Arab League. Usually I am willing and able to see both sides of the issue, however last week events are a game changer.
Is the Pakistani government really allied with the Syrian regime? Pakistan is just plain lost, it can't even control the foreign supported elements from destabilizing the nation, it's military cowardly, and political class corrupt to the core. At least countries like Turkey, Egypt had been experimenting (messily) with Islamic oriented democracies -- what has Pakistan done? Brought back the same old faces.

As is said usually but I believe the "union" will only be possible when Imam Mahdi AH arrives otherwise I don't see any other way of unity.
pak-one ... Thank you for your passion ... May Allah (SWT) truly reward you. But in line with your statement ... What can we do? Not Pakistan, Not the Muslim nations ... You and me as individuals ... What can we do? We are just complaining at the moment aren't we?
I suggested that we write letters ... Shall we do that? I am willing to co-author but we need a strategy and clear motive and go through a due process. However, I am willing to listen to other ideas you may have ... How can we bring change?

Let's pretend Imam Mahdi has arrived then ... Not fake his arrival, but let's start to act as if he has arrived ... What will we do? I bet some of us would sell half of our assets to join him and be near him ... But what else can we do?

I agree majority of your post except last point.
The armies are trained to obey orders and they are made up of Muslims and one day they will defend us and Islam until then we hope they see what they currently doing is wrong and support the return of Islamic call and they will be the army of the future Islamic caliphate inshallah soon.

Those who will actually recognize him as "Mahdi" will not even care about "assets" ;)

The people who were killed in Iraq's gassing, Pakistan's "troubled" areas also "hoped" that, now their kids are orphans, wives are widows, families are without bread-earner etc.
sort of related to disunity but I don’t get why some Arab governments discriminate against Asian Muslims. Shouldn’t they be treated at least better than others?
why is there a family day where single white and arabic guys are allowed but not asian guys? Interesting video i came across..don’t know how much is true but it’s an interesting discussion

Nationalism is why.
In Islam its called assibiyah where a person feel superior to other person because of their tribe their flag, nationality etc. Islam condemn the people who do this.
Sadly people have lack of knowledge on this and this why you see discrimination in middle east even in asia in places like India and Pakistan.
