I’m interested in purchasing Brother MFC420CN Network All-In-1 Multifunction Centre.
Mainly because of it copy/fax feature. I’m not looking to spend a lot of money and I haven’t really made up my mind. I’ve seen plenty of advertises by Brother, but that’s about it.
I’m currently using HP Desktop 842C.

errr... I didn't post to share alone. I wanted to find out if anyone has anything worthy to share about this particular printer that I'm interested in purchasing.

Re: Brother MFC420CN Network All-In-1 Multifunction Centre
Sadiyah, I used to have a Brother fax machine that claimed to copy as well but we didn't like it. But it used the rolled sheets, not normal letter/A4 paper.
This sounds a lot more promising and lot more money too. Please let me know how it goes. I am looking for one too.
Some questions to consider. Do you know how much it's toner costs? What will be your average per week usage?
Re: Brother MFC420CN Network All-In-1 Multifunction Centre
dutch_paki, thanks for the link. I totally forgot about checking out CNET for reviews.
ahmadjee, from previous experience, first thing that came to mind was catridge/refilling costs. I think there are 4 individual cartridges and in total it could cost me around $80-$100 to have'em all replaced. Since I don't use colour ink that much, I think I'll most likely be refilling the black cartridge, which costs around $20-$30.
Another option that I have is getting the cartridges refilled from the mall from IslandJet (or InkJet) kiosks. However, I heard the results aren't that good, but the sales rep I feel wasn't being very honest, as I've gotten my current cartridges filled and they all have worked fine.
Re: Brother MFC420CN Network All-In-1 Multifunction Centre
I am not big fan of brother printers... they are clumsy. Few bucks more and you can buy good HP (1st choice) or Epson (2nd choice).
Re: Brother MFC420CN Network All-In-1 Multifunction Centre
I just bought the HP Officejet 4215v
So far so good. It cost me around a $100 and the quality of the fax & the print isn't bad. I doubt I will use it it scan documents or even copy them but it might come in handy one day.
The toner cost around $35 or 3-5 cents per page.
