Bromance

***Until recently men hugging or expressing emotions were labelled “gay” and most men even now still shy away from physical expression of emotions with a fellow male however more recently the concept of “Bromance” has evolved !

Men nowadays feel more open about expressing themselves !

How is bromance viewed in desi society ?

Re: Bromance

Desi guys have always had a bromance going on. We always hug when we see each other. Close friends, family etc. The concept of a bromance is only homosexual in the west where the notion of a close male bonds does not exist. In Muslim society it is pretty common to have a very strong and close relationship with men with no sexual feelings at all.

Re: Bromance

CM brother your spot on.

Bromance has always been a desi concept... in Pakistan guys grow up to know each other better than most western men becuase in Pakistan you still need to rely on friends a lot more than you do in the west.

I still miss my brothers in Pakistan in England theres just no concept like it anymore... there used to be brotherhoods of cricketers and polo players in old England but most have died out these days... just like cafes became pubs.

Re: Bromance

I think the word 'friendship' in its purest form is what bromance is
.....since the western people are infested with gayism they had to make a new term to clearly define the 'friendship' that normal (straight) guys have...in order to differentiate from the fags....therefore the term is not very significant when it comes to man-to-man friendship in desi dudes..

Re: Bromance

***So Desi Boys have been bromancing since time immemorial ? :hmmm:

And what about the nuances of Bromance ?

Do you guys have like an unwritten code for like when does a bromancing hug turn into non-bromancing…say like 10 seconds = bromance ,anything longer then its just plain awkward ??

Have any of U been in a bromance situation gone wrong ?? Share :khumar:***

Re: Bromance

There are no fags in desi dudes...and so nothing is awkward or timebound......and nothing goes wrong....

Re: Bromance

it used to be perfectly normal for guys to walk hand in hand.

Re: Bromance

Holding pinkies and swinging ?

I think that still happens with desi bromancers .....isn't it ? ***

Re: Bromance

***Begum Nawazish gives you a hug that lasts a tad too long ?

Bromance ?

Awkward ?***

Re: Bromance

when i first saw that i was like aww so cute the gay men were showing their love for each other and they didn't care what desi society thought of them, of course they were straight as ever but for those that haven't seen such a thing between male friends, they do do a double take when they first see it.

Re: Bromance

Many places in Pakistan two broskis can have sex with each other:eek:. Its still considered bromance.

Re: Bromance

I have more white broskis than brown broskis.

Re: Bromance

Jafri and Pendo <— bromance

I saw two paki lads at the park walking while holding hands. Now i couldnt tell if they were friends or gay lovers. I wanted to take a pic of them but couldnt. Guess that was bromance.

Also ive noticed that everyone in pak wants to hug you shake your hand. I dunno if its bromance, but i dun wanna smell their BO and touch their hands esp when i see guys peeing on the side of the road and doing the watwana and what not

Re: Bromance

I'm very affectionate towards my close friends, people who know me really well and vice versa, and usually greet them with a hug. It's no biggie.

Re: Bromance

+1

Awkward! Begum Nawazish doesn't fall under the 'bro' category.

Re: Bromance

^ What the wanker said.

Plus, I am not a homophobe or anything, and I respect people for their choices, but I ****ing hate that Begum Nawazish character, s/he is such a disgrace.

Re: Bromance

Cant blame you… every time she appears on TV my friends switch the TV off before someone getsangry and breaks it… :omg:

Re: Bromance

I know. I also hate that she/he is ****ing paraded as a sign of liberal Pakistan.

Re: Bromance

oh it still is in the subcontinent apparently. i still dont understand what makes them do it though.. greeting hugging etc is fine.. but the need to hold hands is mildly baffling
