Brokeback Mountain

This film is tipped to be the OSCAR winner for 2005.

Anyone seen it?

Re: Brokeback Mountain

Why, because it's about gays?

Re: Brokeback Mountain

you know...i doubt i'll watch it..maybe on dvd.

Re: Brokeback Mountain

Two of the hottest guys portrayed as gays, it's like my worst nightmare. I don't have anything against homosexuals, but damn why Heath and Jake, why!

Re: Brokeback Mountain

i havent seen it

tho it's supposed to be good...i think i'll watch it on video so i can forward certain scenes :p

what i think is sad is that both men have wives they they cheat on...like fine do your own thing sexually, but why break other people's hearts in the process?

Re: Brokeback Mountain

This film has not opened throughout the country and lots of people may actually shy away from seeing it because of the content, but I urge you to please keep an open mind and see this film.

Don't let the idea of "Oh it's a gay cowboy movie" keep you from this film. Unrequited love is the theme and the screenplay by Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana (from the Annie Proulx short story) is brilliant.

Also small, but stellar performances from Randy Quaid and Anne Hathaway

Jake Gyllenhaal, as Jack Twist, the catalyst for the entire story is genius too and frankly, he got snubbed BIG TIME with no nomination. It's his best work ever.

Thank you for consideration.
