Brodeur vs. Giguere

After such a great season for them both, and having to ride their teams almost alone at times; I always thought it’d be whoever could play four good games would turn up on the winning side.

They’re both great goalies who come from the same school, and all credit to Allaire and Patrick Roy who brought the Butterfly technique in the Montreal days. The competition is a good and healthy one.

A good two shutouts by Brodeur to start off, but all that experience doesn’t count for nothing. The Devils are truly playing hockey brick-town style. I’m supporting Anaheim just because of Giguere’s determined efforts in the post-season - even though winning it from here would be a fairytale ending, and a mammoth one at that.
