Former WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar passed his physical and signed a contract on Tuesday with the Minnesota Vikings, his hometown team, for the league minimum of $230,000.
Lesnar won’t get the money, though, unless he makes the final roster. The Pioneer Press says that would be “stunning”. Lesnar is considered a longshot at making the team, but will report to training camp on Friday.
If Lesnar doesn’t make the final roster, but makes the practice squad, he will receive $73,000.
He will be a defensive tackle, which was his preferred position. Now thats gotta be the biggest mistake by a pro athelte i’ve ever seen. Way worse that Ricky Williams decision to retire even before his prime. Why would you leave one physical sport for other? The pay that he is gonna get, thats if he makes the final roster, will be way less than quarter of what he was getting in WWE. The coaching staff for vikings said about him that he is a project with a capital “P”. His last experince in the gridiron was in highschool before he left football for wrestling. I mean this guy doesn’t even know the ABCs of football. Should have stayed in WWE where he would most definatly have been one of the most respected wrestlers ever to step inside the squared circle.
