Chandigarh, Dec 8 (PTI) Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan is planning to produce a Broadway show based on historical dancer Amrapali, with actress Madhuri Dixit playing the lead.
“Amrapali is very famous abroad. We are planning to start a Broadway show based on her. Our talks are on and if everything goes as per plan then Madhuri Dixit will play the main character,” said Saroj.
“Javed Akhtar will write the lyrics and Feroze Khan will direct it,” she added.

Saroj, who has worked with famous Bollywood actresses like Sri Devi and Karishma Kapoor, has always professed sharing a special bond with Madhuri.
The duo have belted out hit dance numbers together like ‘Ek Do Teen’ from the film Tezaab, ‘Chane Ke Khet’ from ‘Anjaam’ and ‘Dola Re’ from ‘Devdas’.
